Moonshot AI business head Huang Zhenxin said K3 demand after launch has exceeded expectations, leading to tight resources across the platform and restrictions on new user registration. According to Odaily, the team said it had made advance preparations but still could not match demand. The company said it will prioritize the user experience of paying existing users and will not fully reopen registration for new users for now. It added that it will not sacrifice existing users’ experience for short-term growth in user numbers. Moonshot AI said it is easing resource pressure through model efficiency improvements and additional computing power, and the timing for restoring registration will be announced later based on resource availability.
