According to ChainCatcher, the move comes as the 30-year yield was around 2% at the start of 2022. Analysts said the rise in long-term yields lifts the risk-free rate, increases discount rates for risk assets, and creates structural pressure on assets such as Bitcoin. They also said a risk-free rate above 5% raises the allocation threshold for speculative capital, while higher debt-financing costs tied to widening fiscal deficits are sending a short-term risk-off signal to markets.
