PBOC Governor Pan Gongsheng Attends BIS Governors’ Meeting and Annual General Meeting

The People’s Bank of China said its governor, Pan Gongsheng, attended the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) governors’ meeting and annual general meeting in Basel, Switzerland, from June 27 to 28, 2026. According to Jin10, central bank governors at the gathering exchanged views on the international economic and financial situation, how to measure second-round effects of inflation, and the impact of artificial intelligence. During the meetings, Pan also met with several participating central bank governors and discussed bilateral financial cooperation, the PBOC said.
