Rystad Energy Chief Economist Sees Oil Prices Rising to $150 a Barrel if Middle East Conflict Continues

Rystad Energy Chief Economist Claudio Galimberti said international oil prices could rise to $150 per barrel in the coming months if the conflict in the Middle East continues. According to Odaily, Galimberti said global crude oil inventories are already at low levels and could keep falling if the conflict is not resolved and supply does not increase. He said that without an end to the Middle East conflict and without increased supply flows, inventories would continue to decline, which would push prices higher. As of June 9, 2026, Brent crude was about $92 per barrel and WTI crude was about $90 per barrel.
