Analyst Bob Savage from BNY Mellon has highlighted increasing market fatigue in a recent report. According to Jin10, Savage noted that the escalation of military conflict between the U.S. and Iran, rising bond yields, and hawkish guidance from central banks are exerting pressure on both stock and fixed income markets. Investors are also reassessing the sustainability of the rebound in global risk assets. Savage pointed out that central banks are increasingly focused on the persistence of inflation driven by energy shocks and strong economic growth, reinforcing the market expectation that high interest rates will persist longer. The renewed conflict between the U.S. and Iran has pushed up oil prices, the U.S. dollar exchange rate, and U.S. Treasury yields. Additionally, concerns over supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, coupled with reduced strategic reserves, have kept the energy market in a state of volatility.
