According to CNBC, President Donald Trump's administration asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to let it enforce a new U.S. Postal Service rule that tightens mail-in ballot delivery standards after a judge temporarily blocked the regulation ahead of November's midterm elections. The Justice Department asked the court to lift Boston-based U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani's order, which had paused the rule for 14 days after she found it likely violated the U.S. Constitution and would be difficult for states to implement before the election.
