SBI Shinsei Bank to Pilot Converting Deposit Interest Into BTC, ETH, or XRP on June 10

Japan’s SBI Shinsei Bank will launch a pilot on June 10 allowing customers to convert part of their deposit interest into BTC, ETH, or XRP. According to Odaily, the program introduces crypto assets into traditional deposit products through an “interest conversion” approach, giving users crypto exposure without directly purchasing cryptocurrencies. Odaily reported that any further expansion will depend on customer participation and the regulatory environment.
