Cronos Community Proposes Using Product Revenue to Buy Back and Burn CRO

Cronos community members have introduced a proposal to use product revenue to buy back and burn CRO. The proposal also outlines changes to how Cronos Labs product revenue and future staking yields would be handled. According to Foresight News, all revenue from Ult and Cronos Launch would be used to repurchase CRO on the open market and destroy it. The process would be carried out on-chain each month, with the hash of every transaction published. Operating, infrastructure, and other growth-related expenses would be funded by existing capital. A strategic reserve would be used to support future staking rewards for Cronos POS. Staking rewards would continue to be distributed under the current Cronos POS parameters. As issuance declines, funds would be added from the reserve to help keep CRO staking competitive in the market.
