A monitoring alert said Ampleforth governance proposal 54 appears to be a malicious proposal involving 2.5 million USDC from the treasury. According to Foresight News, the proposal is titled "SPOT Completed Work Grant" and seeks to transfer funds to the proposer’s address, with the amount close to the full 2.538 million USDC held in the timelock contract. The proposer said they wrote the proposal and would self-vote through a delegate holding only 87,238 FORTH, or about 0.57%, narrowly exceeding the 75,000 threshold. Based on a price of $0.22 per token, the attack cost would be $132,000.
