UK Labour MP Phil Brickell Seeks Parliamentary Probe Into Nigel Farage Over Alleged Tether-Linked Gifts

UK Labour Member of Parliament Phil Brickell has submitted a letter to the UK Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards requesting a special investigation into Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. According to Odaily, Brickell alleged that Farage accepted a large personal gift from Christopher Harborne, described as a major investor in Tether. Brickell further alleged that Farage subsequently engaged in public lobbying in support of positions related to Tether during the Bank of England’s process of developing crypto regulatory policy. The letter claims this activity may indicate a conflict of interest stemming from the alleged transfer of substantial funds.
