Bitcoin BLAKE2b developers plan to restrict miners from unlocking newly mined tokens, with a 45-day waiting period and the change slated for activation at block height 973440. According to ChainCatcher, the chain forked from Bitcoin on August 8, and its native token BTCB2 has been labeled by some trading platforms as Bitcoin BLAKE2b, Bitcoin BIP-110, or XBT. BTCB2 has fallen 84% from its September high of $1,799 and was trading at about $270 to $315 in recent hours. Developer Luke Dashjr said some BLAKE2b mining pools are “attacking” the network.
