Ant Group to Launch Proprietary Blockchain by September 2025

According to PANews, Ant Group's Vice President and President of Ant Digital's blockchain business, Bian Zhuoqun, announced plans to launch a proprietary public blockchain by the end of September 2025. This blockchain will be capable of handling real transactions. Earlier this year, on April 30, Ant Digital introduced the Layer2 blockchain Jovay, emphasizing its status as a compliant, institution-grade blockchain without issuing any tokens. Bian Zhuoqun stated that Ant Digital aims to serve as a bridge between Web2 and Web3, providing more trusted assets for Web3 and introducing more compliant funds into Web2. She cited data predicting that the global tokenization market could reach $16 trillion by 2030. Currently, Ant Digital is expanding its RWA asset footprint in sectors such as renewable energy, computing power, and finance.
