Anthropic said it does not expect Claude to be used in a fully autonomous mode and that future frontier models will require human supervision. According to PANews, Anthropic held $95.6 billion in cash as of September 30. The company reported third-quarter personnel expenses of $1.71 billion, up from $489 million in the same quarter last year, and said its decisions may conflict with investor expectations. Anthropic also reiterated its commitment to keeping Claude ad-free. It attributed its third-quarter operating loss to $5 billion in short-term computing investments.
