South Korea's stock exchange has officially launched after-hours trading. Normal trading hours remain 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and investors can now trade until 8 p.m. after the regular close.
According to Odaily, the exchange delayed the pre-market session originally set to launch today until the end of 2027 because the securities industry said IT system development and staffing would be burdensome. It also said exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes will not be included in after-hours trading for now, citing market volatility concerns.
