According to CNBC, Piper Sandler said Robinhood could see a sizable increase in prediction market revenue as football season begins next week, and analyst Patrick Moley raised his 2026 and 2027 earnings per share estimates by 5% and 7%, respectively. He also lifted his price target on Robinhood to $145 from $135 and reiterated an overweight rating, saying the NFL and NCAA football season should be a major catalyst for the company’s third- and fourth-quarter 2026 prediction market revenue. Piper Sandler said Robinhood management confirmed that Rothera, its prediction markets joint venture with Susquehanna, received approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer football contracts covering wins and spreads. The firm estimated that from September through December, Robinhood users will trade about 29.7 billion event contracts and generate roughly $320 million in revenue, or $960 million annualized.
