Academy Securities’ Tchir Says Treasury Yields Reflect Supply and Demand

Peter Tchir, head of macro strategy at Academy Securities, said he does not see the US Treasury market as a “bond vigilante” trade, but as a supply-and-demand issue, according to Bloomberg. His comments came ahead of Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s first speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium.
