Strike Launches Bitcoin-Backed Loan With No Price-Based Liquidation, Mallers Says

Strike has launched a new bitcoin-backed loan product designed to avoid forced liquidation triggered by bitcoin price declines. According to Odaily, the company said that as long as borrowers make payments on time, the pledged BTC will not be moved or liquidated regardless of how far bitcoin’s price falls. Strike founder Jack Mallers said on X that the product has no margin call requirements and no price-based liquidation mechanism, allowing users to borrow U.S. dollars while continuing to hold bitcoin. He added that volatility is inevitable, but liquidation is not. Strike said the new loan removes price-triggered actions tied to loan-to-value (LTV), meaning borrowers do not need to worry about automatic liquidation if BTC prices drop. The company said collateral will remain untouched as long as interest and maturity payments are made as scheduled.
