China Maintains Loan Prime Rates for 11th Consecutive Month

The People's Bank of China (PBoC) has decided to maintain the one-year Loan Prime Rate at 3.0% and the five-year Loan Prime Rate at 3.5%, marking the 11th consecutive month without change. According to NS3.AI, the one-year rate serves as the benchmark for general loans, while the five-year rate is used as a reference for mortgages. The last adjustment to these rates occurred in May of the previous year, when the PBoC reduced each by 10 basis points.
