Visa Partners with Stripe's Bridge to Launch Stablecoin-Linked Cards in Latin America

According to Foresight News, Visa has announced a collaboration with Stripe's Bridge to pilot stablecoin-linked cards in Latin America. The initial rollout will include Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Chile, allowing users to make everyday purchases at merchants that accept Visa using their stablecoin balances. Visa plans to expand this service to Europe, Asia, and Africa in the future. The initiative enables fintech companies and developers to issue these types of cards, aiming to meet the growing demand for stablecoin storage and payment solutions among local users and businesses. Previously, Mastercard also launched similar stablecoin services, indicating that mainstream payment institutions are accelerating their efforts to establish stablecoin payment networks.
