Solana Founder Toly Says AGI Remains Far Away and AI Is Best for Design and Bug Testing

Solana founder Toly said on X that AGI remains far away. According to Odaily, he said his test project Percolator would already have been released if he had written it full time himself. Toly said AI performs best during the design and specification research stages, as well as in fuzz testing for bugs. He added that using AI in this way should improve code quality, but the number of good products actually brought to market today is unlikely to be higher than before the large language model era. Toly previously said he would launch Percolator, a Solana-based decentralized perpetual futures exchange. He said it uses a sharded order book, has execution speed comparable to centralized exchanges, and is fully open source.
