SEC Approves Nasdaq Texas Rule for Commodity-Linked Trusts

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved a Nasdaq Texas rule change that allows qualifying commodity-linked trusts to allocate up to 15% of net asset value to specified digital commodities or securities that do not meet the rule’s eligibility tests. The trusts must keep at least 85% of net asset value in qualifying assets. According to NS3.AI, the change could let eligible products use a streamlined listing process without requiring separate SEC approval for each product. The amendments also permit actively managed strategies under the generic standards.
