Mark Zandi Says U.S. Households Lost About $1,000 Each Due To Iran War Costs

Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi said a war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran has cost U.S. households about $1,000 per family on average. According to Jin10, Zandi wrote in a recent post that the estimated $1,000 per household includes higher gasoline spending tied to rising oil prices, additional outlays for shopping and travel due to higher overall prices, and households’ share of U.S. government war-related costs. Zandi said the roughly $1,000 figure was a conservative estimate and that the actual cost borne by Americans could be higher.
