Indonesia Requires Crypto Influencers to Hold Competency Certification Under 2026 Regulation

Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority has introduced Regulation No. 6 of 2026, requiring crypto influencers to obtain competency certification before recommending digital assets. According to NS3.AI, the rule targets individuals who promote or recommend digital assets unless they are already covered by a separate licensing requirement. Under the regulation, influencers are also restricted to promoting only those digital assets that are listed on authorized exchanges.
