Foreign Investors Sell $75 Billion of South Korean Stocks Year to Date, Goldman Sachs Data Show

Foreign investors have sold $75 billion of South Korean equities year to date, according to Goldman Sachs data cited in a report by The Kobeissi Letter. According to ChainCatcher, overseas investors sold another $801 million of Kospi index constituents on Monday, following $10 billion in net outflows last week. The report said foreign investors have been net sellers on every trading day over the past month. In contrast, South Korean retail and institutional investors have been net buyers of $69 billion over the same year-to-date period, according to the Goldman Sachs figures cited.
