South Korea to Expedite Digital Asset Legislation in Second Half of This Year

South Korea's ruling Democratic Party is set to fast-track the second phase of its basic act on digital assets in the latter half of this year. According to NS3.AI, Democratic Party lawmaker Ahn Do-geol stated that the party's Digital Asset Task Force is nearing the completion of discussions on contentious issues. Participants in the debate highlighted that stablecoins have evolved into a payment infrastructure and called for the establishment of a regulatory testbed.
