Bank of England and FCA Seek Public Feedback on Tokenization Approach

The Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority have jointly released their approach to tokenization within U.K. financial markets, inviting public feedback until July 3. According to NS3.AI, the Bank of England has also suggested extending the operating hours for CHAPS and RTGS settlements. Starting from September 2027, CHAPS operations could commence at 1:30 a.m. Additionally, Sunday and bank holiday settlements are projected to begin no earlier than 2029, while weekday operations might expand to a 22x6 window by 2031.
