Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) plans to allow users to select from a range of external artificial intelligence services within its software features, as part of its strategy to transform devices into comprehensive AI platforms. According to Jin10, informed sources revealed that users will be able to choose from multiple third-party AI models for tasks such as text and image generation and editing. This change is expected to be reflected in the iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 releases this fall. Apple is collaborating with Google to enhance the underlying model supporting Siri and working with Anthropic to support internal AI infrastructure and product development.
