International Humanitarian Law Faces Collapse Amid Rising Civilian Casualties

A report released on Monday by the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights highlights the alarming increase in civilian casualties due to global conflicts over the past two years. According to Ming Pao, the report reveals that more than 100,000 civilians have died annually in these conflicts, with nearly 20,000 children and over 12,000 women killed in Gaza alone. Additionally, civilian deaths in Ukraine have surged significantly.
