General Motors Co. is integrating Apple Inc.’s CarPlay into its latest infotainment system, three years after removing the interface from its electric vehicles and upsetting some consumers, Bloomberg reported.

Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau said it received an application from Hutchison Telephone (Macau), a unit of CK Hutchison Holdings, to give up its 4G mobile telecom licence and plans to end mobile communications services in Macau from December 1, according to Ming Pao. The bureau said the move was a commercial decision made by the company based on its own operating conditions. To protect users' interests, it has asked Hutchison to draw up a complete transition plan and said it will closely supervise the exit process in accordance with the law to ensure a smooth handover of services.

The Federal Reserve confirmed that part of its National Information Center, or NIC, system was disrupted on August 5, temporarily affecting the system's public website while key functions remained operational. According to Sina Finance, the outage also affected internal systems, and an internal email said key data pipeline tasks from the NIC kept failing and caused significant downstream impacts across multiple Fed business areas. The email said one affected area was the Fed's discount window, the main channel through which the central bank lends directly to banks.
