Binance Explains Entity Onboarding and Referral Steps for Corporate Clients
Binance Blog published a new article, explaining how corporate clients should use entity onboarding and referral binding when registering through a referral link. The guide says corporate clients should choose “Sign up as an entity” to enter Binance’s entity onboarding process, rather than using the default individual account flow. It also notes that entity onboarding requires Know Your Business (KYB) verification for the company, its ownership structure, and relevant representatives. Binance says the referral should be correctly bound before the client begins trading so eligible activity is attributed under the applicable referral terms. The article adds that products and services may not be available in every jurisdiction and that terms and conditions apply. It outlines why companies, funds, and other legal entities should follow the entity path from the start, since doing so can help avoid onboarding issues and provide access to institutional products and services, including execution services and benefits under the Binance VIP Program.
The article also details the differences between entity and individual accounts, including verification requirements, access levels, and compliance records. Individual accounts are designed for one natural person and use personal Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, while entity accounts are intended for companies, funds, and other legal entities and require KYB. Binance says eligible corporate clients may access OTC and Execution Services, including Spot and Options Request for Quote (RFQ), bespoke execution, and Indication of Interest (IOI). Eligible clients may also qualify for the Binance VIP Program, which offers tier-based benefits such as lower fees, higher limits, priority support, advanced insights, selected VIP opportunities, and event invitations. The article explains that OTC activity can contribute toward VIP qualification, with OTC Spot Trading Volume counting at a 4x multiplier toward Spot Trading Volume for VIP qualification from VIP 1 through VIP 9. It then walks through the referral process, starting with creating a referral link in Referral Pro, sharing it with the corporate client, having the client select “Sign up as an entity,” completing business registration and KYB verification, and then confirming referral binding so the commission or discount becomes active. Binance also says each account can bind only one referral code and that the code cannot be changed after binding.
