Blackstone Chief Financial Officer Michael Chae said the firm’s portfolio construction and strategy allow it to capture growth in artificial intelligence, AI, and infrastructure, and to deploy and attract capital at scale. According to Sina Finance, Chae said at a Barclays conference on Tuesday that Blackstone completed nine initial public offerings for its portfolio companies over the past year, while six others have filed for listings around the world. Chae said the alternative asset manager, which oversees $1.3 trillion in assets, invests in AI, power, life sciences, and private-market lending to companies. He said 70% of Blackstone’s largest investments over the past 12 months were concentrated in those areas and that it is now a good time to deploy capital. He also said Blackstone raised more than $260 billion over the past year, its best 12-month period in nearly four years, and that institutional investor inflows jumped 50% over the same period. Chae said Blackstone’s AI investments will begin to show up in earnings as strong performance drives fee growth.

Ripple and Strategy said the Senate’s 49-50 defeat of the CLARITY Act did not alter XRP or Bitcoin’s legal standing. According to BeInCrypto, Ripple chief legal officer Stuart Alderoty cited a 2023 federal ruling that XRP exchange sales were not securities and March SEC-CFTC guidance naming XRP a digital commodity. Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, said Bitcoin has had U.S. legal and regulatory clarity for years and noted its 845,050 BTC stack was still about 1% above cost after the vote.

The power shortage created by the AI data center boom is reshaping global gas turbine and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) supply chains, with GE Vernova and Bloom Energy posting strong second-quarter order growth and revenue gains, according to Jiemian News. GE Vernova said second-quarter gas turbine new orders reached 12.1 GW, up 137% year on year, while its power segment backlog rose to $111.649 billion and the order book stretched to 5.31 years. Bloom Energy reported second-quarter revenue of $1.065 billion, up 165.5%, raised its full-year revenue guidance to $3.9 billion-$4.2 billion, and said it held about $20 billion in backlog. Jiemian News said the overseas demand surge is filtering into China’s A-share market, but the supply chain is splitting into companies with real orders and those still trading on concepts. Jereh Group said it had won more than $3.1 billion in gas turbine generator set and related orders from November 2025 through the release of its half-year results, including a $1.465 billion supply contract signed in July by its J&F Power Systems unit with a major cloud services provider. The company also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Siemens Energy in May. By contrast, companies such as Wanze Co., Yingliu Co., Sanhuan Group, and Zhenhua Co. are still largely in supplier qualification, sample delivery, or small-batch shipment stages, while some SOFC and gas turbine concept stocks have not disclosed formal orders from GE Vernova or Bloom Energy.

Aave Labs published an ARFC on September 14 seeking approval to deploy a new Aave V4 Isolated Hub and Spoke for institutional custodied collateral to be used as stablecoin borrowing collateral. According to ChainCatcher, institutional borrowers would keep collateral in custody at Anchorage during the loan term, while the custody balance would be represented onchain by the non-transferable custody collateral token CoCT, minted and burned by Chainlink-designed CustodySync. Borrowers would stake CoCT on the Spoke and withdraw stablecoins from the Isolated Hub. The proposal says loan lifecycle events, including liquidation, would be synchronized between the custodian and Aave through Chainlink infrastructure. The scope is limited to one Isolated Hub and one Spoke governed by the Aave DAO, with no changes to existing Hubs, Spokes, or reserves. The underlying assets would remain in custody at all times, with Anchorage holding the assets as the custodian and counterparty to the account control agreement, while Chainlink would not hold the assets. CoCT is described as a transfer-restricted ERC-20 that can only be used by the Hub, Spoke, and CustodySync, with minting and burning handled exclusively by CustodySync and each borrower position mapped to a separate contract. The initial plan is to launch one CoCT backed by BTC held in Anchorage custody. The next step is discussion of the ARFC, followed by Snapshot if supported and then a final AIP submission with parameters.

AI infrastructure financing protocol USD.AI said it has secured $40 million in stablecoin revolving debt financing from crypto-native asset manager K3 Capital to support the launch of a new financing product. According to ChainCatcher, the facility is backed by sUSDai collateral and provides short-term credit that can be drawn, repaid, and reused on demand. USD.AI said the loan has a three-year term with monthly amortization, allowing capital to move in and out of sUSDai on a shorter cycle. K3 Capital co-founder Kiril Nikolov said the firm looks for market structure inefficiencies and supports teams it trusts, while Permian Labs CEO David Choi said the company is preparing products that require more flexible short-term funding and that K3 designed the on-chain credit arrangement accordingly. The financing builds on an existing liquidity relationship between the two firms. USD.AI provides non-dilutive financing to AI infrastructure operators through non-recourse loans secured by underlying GPU infrastructure. The company previously announced a separate $100 million stablecoin debt financing from Bullish. K3 Capital has managed interest rate arbitrage and liquidity provision strategies since 2021.
