CAI aims to address visual misinformation by providing metadata, termed "content credentials," for content origin and editing, offering transparency and authenticity in digital content. The initiative, known as C2PA, is a collaboration between Adobe, Microsoft, Sony, Intel, Twitter, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, Nikon, and the Associated Press.
