On this episode of Cryptocurrents, we speak to Gabriel Sieng, Head of Marketing from Tako Protocol, Yusoff Kim, Marketing Manager of HeadQuarters, and Joel Zhao, Partnerships & BD from ProBit Global. Token2049 is perhaps one of the busiest weeks for people in the crypto space. I know that as a journalist, Token2049 almost always brings both a sense of dread and excitement together. Dread, because planning my own schedule for the event is going to be an absolute nightmare; Excitement, because I know it's going to be a week packed full of interesting discussions. But I'm not the only one attending Token2049 and the countless numbers of events planned during the week. Since its the event to be at for every crypto company, there were attendees from crypto infrastructure companies, protocols, and many more- so let's see how representatives from these companies actually spent the week, and how this year's events compared to last year's. Quote of the episode: I really prefer event spaces that have a more intimate setting. There are some parties that feel like people don't go there to do business, and people are just there for the drinks, maybe for the merch, but event spaces that are a bit more chill, when you get to talk to people, you're not shouting over the music. It's easier to remember their faces, during parties it’s abit harder.. But the good thing about Token is that you have a mix of everything- there’s parties with loud music, there’s chill ones, and not only is there good food and drinks, but the networking is very nice. You get to see people that you’ve been talking to on Linkedin or on Telegram in person, and that interaction is something that you can’t really get anywhere else.
