Huayou Cobalt said on September 15, 2026 that it has completed the issuance of its 11th 2026 green technology innovation bond, with a size of 1 billion yuan, a two-year tenor and a coupon rate of 2.20%, according to Jiemian News. The bond, named 26 Huayou Cobalt GN011 (Sci-Tech Innovation Bond), was publicly issued in China's interbank bond market through book-building and centralized allocation.
China CITIC Bank, China Merchants Bank, SPD Bank, Bank of China, Industrial Bank, BOCI Securities and Bohai Bank acted as lead underwriters. Proceeds will be used to replace spending made by a subsidiary within the past three months on recycling waste power batteries and dismantled materials, as well as raw-material purchases for a battery-grade lithium salt production project. Huayou Cobalt also said its 2025 annual shareholders' meeting approved a proposal for the company and its subsidiaries to issue non-financial corporate debt financing instruments in 2026, including public and private placements.
