The average price of unleaded petrol in the UK has risen by 5p a litre in a week to 167.17p, while diesel has increased by 5p to 188.63p, according to the RAC. BBC reported that the motoring group warned there was "no sign of any relief" for drivers as the US-Israel war with Iran disrupts crude supplies across the Middle East. Brent crude has returned to $100 a barrel for the first time since July, after hostilities escalated again, and the RAC said the latest move means the cost of filling a family-sized car is up by £2.75 over the past week.
