CSPC Pharmaceutical Group (01093) said the Phase I clinical trial of its SYH2092 injection for weight management in adults who are overweight or obese has officially started at the first study centre in mainland China, according to ETNet. The company said it is now advancing participant recruitment and screening for the trial. SYH2092 is an amylin receptor agonist, and preclinical studies showed higher target agonist activity, significant weight-loss effects and sustained weight maintenance compared with several amylin analogues now in clinical development. By optimising agonist activity and fatty-acid modification, the product is designed to extend its half-life in the body and may offer durable weight-loss benefits.
