Hong Kong stocks ended little changed on the day, with the Hang Seng Index closing at 25,584, up 19 points or less than 0.1%, according to ETNet.
Southbound funds recorded a net inflow of HK$1.176 billion, down 63% from the previous session. The most net-bought stocks were Victory Giant Technology (02476), Zhipu (02513) and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (06869), while the most net-sold were China Life Insurance (02628), Alibaba (09988) and Tencent (00700).
Mainboard turnover exceeded HK$231.2 billion, down 1%. Southbound trading via Stock Connect accounted for nearly HK$88.3 billion, or 38.2% of total turnover. Victory Giant fell 13% to HK$220.2 after net buying of HK$454 million, Zhipu dropped 6% to HK$1,090 after net buying of HK$341 million, and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable fell 5.3% to HK$170.3 after net buying of HK$296 million. China Life rose 0.3% to HK$29.42 after net selling of HK$878 million, Alibaba fell 1.4% to HK$113.9 after net selling of HK$381 million, and Tencent gained 1.7% to HK$455.2 after net selling of HK$144 million.
