American Bitcoin CEO Michael Ho said at a roundtable during the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference in Hong Kong that the main advantage of buying an actively managed Bitcoin company, compared with spot Bitcoin or an ETF, is betting that management can increase investors' Bitcoin per share. According to Foresight News, he said that buying ABTC or other companies at the event is a bet that Bitcoin per share can rise quarter by quarter, depending on management decisions and capital allocation.
Ho said the company views ASIC miners as hard-asset infrastructure for producing Bitcoin and uses existing Bitcoin reserves to operate the miners, creating Bitcoin returns in Bitcoin.
Treasury founder and CEO Khing Oei said the company is working with an investment bank to look for treasury companies that trade below net asset value, are too small, and lack a reason to exist independently. He said such consolidation would benefit all parties and would be similar to buying Bitcoin at a price below spot.
