OpenAI has launched the Codex Micro keyboard, priced at $230, designed for its AI coding assistant Codex. According to Odaily, the keyboard was developed in partnership with keyboard designer Work Louder. It features illuminated keys that display agent status, shortcut keys for common Codex operations, a joystick for launching workflows, and a dial to adjust the agent's "reasoning" level, functioning as a command center for the agent. The device can be controlled and customized through the ChatGPT desktop application.
Separately, Apple filed a lawsuit against OpenAI last week, accusing its senior leadership of intentionally extracting Apple's confidential information to develop proprietary hardware devices. OpenAI has denied the allegations.
