Equatorial Guinea Cabinet Submits Collective Resignation, Vice President Says

Equatorial Guinea’s prime minister submitted the collective resignation of all cabinet members to the president on June 16, Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue said in a social media post. According to Jin10, Mangue said an assessment found the government had only “barely reached 10%” of its planned objectives. He said the country had allocated substantial human, material, and financial resources to the government to meet public needs, but implementation had fallen far short of expectations and commitments. Mangue added that Equatorial Guinea needed a more dynamic and efficient administrative body that better aligns with citizens’ needs.
