U.S. Dollar Index Slips 0.03% to 100.042 on June 9

The U.S. dollar index, which tracks the dollar against six major currencies, fell 0.03% on June 9, ending the session at 100.042. According to ChainCatcher, the euro rose to $1.1528 from $1.1523 in the previous session, while the British pound edged up to $1.3339 from $1.3337. The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen to 160.26 from 160.17 and rose versus the Swiss franc to 0.7979 from 0.7962. It also gained against the Canadian dollar to 1.3956 from 1.3949. Against the Swedish krona, the dollar weakened to 9.4401 from 9.4735.
