Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge said the company has completed a white hat rescue operation addressing a vulnerability in Flooring Protocol, recovering multiple high-profile NFTs from the protocol.
According to Foresight News, Yuga Labs blockchain vice president Quit recovered 29 Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, four Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs, two CryptoPunks, one Azuki, and 26 Captains. Yuga Labs said the NFTs are being held securely by the company and will be returned after it works with the protocol’s development team to implement a fix.
Flooring Protocol previously experienced a vulnerability that led to some collectibles being stolen. KOL coffee said that if the same issue were exploited again, top collections such as BAYC and CryptoPunks could face significant risk.
Yuga Labs said it instructed its GrailsOTC trading desk to front funds and NFTs to withdraw high-risk assets from the protocol in advance, aiming to avoid market disruption and protect the price of the Flooring Protocol token.
