Victims of terrorism sponsored by Iran have petitioned a federal judge in Manhattan to compel Tether to transfer 344,149,759 USDT from two Tron addresses that have been frozen. According to NS3.AI, the filing on Thursday in the Southern District of New York reveals that Tether froze these tokens after the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) identified the wallets as belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The plaintiffs are requesting Tether to reissue an equivalent amount to a wallet managed by their legal counsel to aid in satisfying unpaid U.S. court judgments against Iran.
