Ronin to Undergo Hard Fork, Transitioning to Ethereum Layer 2

Ronin is set to execute a hard fork on May 12, transitioning to an Ethereum layer 2 solution. According to NS3.AI, this migration will occur at block 55,577,490 and is expected to result in approximately 10 hours of downtime. During this period, transfers, swaps, smart contract interactions, and games will be temporarily halted. The upgrade aims to significantly reduce RON inflation from over 20% to below 1%. Additionally, 90 million RON, which was initially allocated for staking rewards, will be redirected into the treasury as part of the transition strategy.
