A Pakistani government source has indicated that Iran's Foreign Minister, Araqchi, is expected to arrive in Islamabad with a small delegation on Friday evening. According to Odaily, discussions between Iran and the United States are likely to take place, leading to a rapid decrease in oil prices. Tamas Varga from oil brokerage firm PVM noted that while the fundamental backdrop remains favorable, traders are closing long positions ahead of an unpredictable weekend and will reassess their positions on Sunday evening based on developments in Iran.
Haitong Futures reported that if negotiations show no progress by the end of April and fighting resumes, oil prices could reach new highs this year. Susannah Streeter, Chief Investment Strategist at British investment service company Wealth Club, stated that with key transportation routes in the region still blocked, new economic challenges are anticipated, keeping commodity prices elevated.
