According to Jin10, officials have indicated that the proposed release would exceed the 182 million barrels deployed by IEA member countries during the 2022 Russia-Ukraine conflict. The proposal was discussed at an emergency meeting of energy officials from the IEA's 32 member countries on Tuesday.
