OpenAI’s revenue chief said enterprise customers are increasingly moving toward Amazon’s Bedrock platform, arguing that the company’s long-standing Microsoft partnership has made it harder to reach some clients.

OpenAI will supply its AI models to the U.S. Pentagon through Amazon after Anthropic was dropped. Microsoft may challenge the deal due to its exclusive cloud agreement with OpenAI.

OpenAI is developing its own code-hosting platform after GitHub faced repeated outages that disrupted its work. The new platform may be offered as a paid service, putting OpenAI in direct competition with Microsoft.
