Revolut Sees Stablecoin Payments Soar to $10.5 Billion as Users Embrace Everyday Digital Dollars

Stablecoins are becoming a routine part of payments on Revolut, with transaction volumes estimated to have jumped 156% year over year to around $10.5 billion in 2025.

The surge highlights growing user adoption of digital dollars for everyday transfers, not just large-scale transactions.

Stablecoins Gaining Traction Among Revolut Users

While Revolut has not published official figures for 2025, crypto researcher Alex Obchakevich noted that stablecoins nearly doubled as a share of the platform’s total payments compared with 2024.

Citing data from Dune Analytics, he said,

“Despite the small absolute share, the dynamics are impressive.”

Obchakevich also highlighted that transfers ranging from $100 to $500 accounted for 30% to 40% of stablecoin activity, indicating users are increasingly turning to digital dollars for routine payments rather than only for large transfers.

Which Stablecoins and Networks Lead the Growth

Ethereum dominates stablecoin flows on Revolut, representing more than two-thirds of transaction volume, followed by Tron at 22.8%.

The platform also supports Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum and Optimism, giving users flexibility in network selection based on speed and cost preferences.

Revolut’s push into stablecoins intensified in October 2025, when it introduced a feature allowing customers to exchange US dollars for USDC or USDT at a 1:1 rate, with no commissions or hidden fees.

The move simplified onchain transfers and reduced friction for users sending funds globally.

Global Stablecoin Market Expanding Rapidly

The surge on Revolut reflects wider growth in stablecoin adoption.

Bloomberg Intelligence projects that stablecoin payment flows could reach $56.6 trillion by 2030, growing at an 81% compound annual rate, driven by increasing retail use and institutional integration.

Overall, the global stablecoin market was valued at $312 billion in 2025, with the US Treasury projecting it could reach $2 trillion by 2028.

USDC led the market by transaction volume, processing $18.3 trillion, while Tether handled $13.3 trillion, despite remaining the largest stablecoin by market capitalization at $187 billion.

Analysts link the surge partly to the GENIUS Act, passed in July 2025, which provided clear legal guidance for payment stablecoins.

Are Everyday Payments Driving Stablecoin Adoption

The pattern of medium-sized transactions on Revolut indicates that stablecoins are moving beyond speculative use and into everyday financial activity.

Obchakevich noted:

“This indicates that Revolut users actively use stablecoins for everyday medium-sized payments, not just for large transfers.”

Other financial institutions are also exploring stablecoin-based solutions.

Western Union plans to roll out a Solana-based stablecoin settlement system in 2026, while MoneyGram and Zelle are introducing similar systems for faster cross-border payments.

How Revolut Supports This Growth

Revolut’s investment in blockchain infrastructure, including real-time transaction monitoring and compliance systems, has facilitated this expansion.

The platform ensures adherence to anti-money laundering requirements and screens transactions against global sanctions lists, enabling users to transact securely across multiple networks.

The combination of accessible tools, regulatory clarity, and practical use cases is driving stablecoins from niche interest to everyday payments on Revolut, signalling a shift in how digital currencies integrate into mainstream financial services.
