Plume Network, the first full-stack modular layer 1 blockchain platform focused on real-world asset financing (RWAfi), announced the establishment of a $25 million RWAfi Ecosystem Fund to support the tokenization of real-world assets and early RWAfi projects on its platform.
The program aims to advance RWA tokenization and meet the growing interest in DeFi solutions that incorporate real-world assets such as treasuries, GPUs, luxury goods, and private credit.
The fund is backed by several leading investors, including Galaxy Digital, Superscrypt, Reciprocal Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Hashkey, Selini, and Manifold, who will provide financial support and strategic guidance to help develop the Plume RWAfi ecosystem.
“The RWAfi Ecosystem Fund represents a major step forward for Plume and RWA-focused DeFi,” said Chris Yin, CEO of Plume. “Bringing real-world assets on-chain can unlock tremendous value and new use cases across multiple industries and markets. The support of our partners will help us support the teams driving this innovation.”
The fund will provide capital investment, strategic go-to-market support, and strategic guidance to projects, leveraging Plume’s network and infrastructure to support businesses across a variety of RWAfi sectors.
RWAfi Ecosystem Fund focus areas include:
Innovative RWAfi Products:Developing sophisticated, yield-bearing stablecoins that integrate RWAs into DeFi applications, including private credit, insurance products, royalty assets, infrastructure projects, AI/GPU resources, capital infrastructure, investment funds, and collectibles.
Vertically Integrated Ecosystem: Projects contributing to Plume’s full-stack modular ecosystem to facilitate connections between assets, applications, and users.
Global Accessibility and Retail Adoption: Support projects developing products that are suitable for both developed and emerging markets, following established stablecoin adoption patterns.
Institutional Integration: Support businesses working on institutional adoption by partnering with neo-banks and fintechs, with an emphasis on compliant on-chain asset allocation.
Cross-Chain Interoperability: Support projects working on efficient RWA allocation and scaling across different blockchain networks.
The fund is currently reviewing applications from pre-seed and seed-stage founders working on RWA and DeFi, particularly those focused on tokenization, infrastructure, and compliance solutions.
