首先，我们先要理解一个概念：无风险利率（Risk Free Rate，RFR），这一概念认为，加密货币世界也具有通胀性，ETH有着3% -4%的稳定质押收益率，但大部分Layer 2账户内资金却只是在静态放置（收益率 0% ），这意味着这些资产正在因为ETH的通胀而被动减值。
Blast所希望解决的正是这一问题，为Layer 2账户内的资金提供被动生息的可能性。
具体而言，当用户将资金存入Blast后，Blast随即将把锁定于Layer 1网络上的对应ETH用于网络原生质押，并将所获得的ETH质押收益自动返还给Blast之上的用户。简而言之，如果用户在 Blast 上的账户内持有1个ETH，随着时间的推移，它可能会自动增长至 1.1、1.2个ETH。
除了可参与原生质押的ETH之外，Blast还支持稳定币的被动生息。具体的运作机制为，当用户将稳定币（如USDC、USDT和DAI）桥接至Blast后，Blast 随即将把锁定于Layer 1网络上的对应稳定币存入MakerDAO等美债类DeFi协议，并以USDB（Blast原生稳定币）的形式将收益自动返还给Blast之上的用户。
用户通过先行访问进入了Blast网络之后，不但可以立即享受ETH 4%或稳定币5%的被动生息，也可同时累积Blast Points奖励。目前关于积分的描述，官方只透露出Blast 计划于明年2月24日上线主网并开发提款， 5月24日开放Blast Points的“赎回”。

总得来说，Blast的玩法可以理解为，与其他人组成一个小队，一起锁定最少5枚ETH，并在明年2月本息一起解锁。有点类似于早期的ETH2.0的3枚ETH质押活动。
伴随着贝莱德以太坊ETF的热度，以及明年坎昆升级的到来，ETH或许明年会迎来一波上涨。通过Blast的质押，既能被动获得ETH带来的收益，同时也能获得桥接带来的利润，一鱼两吃。
